My reasons for becoming a financial professional are deeply personal. As a young child, I saw personal sacrifices that my parents made in order to bring me to a country that would allow me the opportunity to prosper through hard-work. However, they were underserved by financial professionals due to the lack of Hispanic representation in the financial professional community (currently only 2.5% of all Certified Financial Planners are Hispanic). My parents repeatedly saw many friends and family struggling to find the help they needed to map out their financial future. Therefore they did "ok" for themselves but could have done so much better with the proper guidance. They knew how to make a good income as entrepreneurs, but didn't know how to make sense of an overall financial picture. It was difficult for them to make the right decisions regarding investments, insurance, college planning, debt, real estate, estate planning, retirement planning, tax planning, and so much more.
Now as a husband and father, I pride myself in speaking openly about financial literacy with my wife and kids. As a Certified Financial Planner, I am confident that we can help people better prepare for their present and future. At our firm, we have our clients—and only our clients—in mind. Our clients are typically successful professionals, entrepreneurs, and retirees. People that tend to be experts in their field, but desire an experienced partner to help guide them financially.
